We enjoy receiving and reading The Homesteader. Since towns have since moved away from organizing Welcoming Committees, and welcoming packages no longer seem available through town halls, my husband and I find it very helpful for new residents, like ourselves, getting to know the area. We especially appreciate the various restaurants advertised.

Lisa I., Prescott Valley, AZ:
Your paper has been very helpful for us. We moved here from Delaware in September and were basically lost when it came to where to go to find anything. All we knew about was Rt. 69 now I cut the ads out for businesses that I know I'll be using soon and save them in my personal phone book. This way when I need a service I know a number is at hand. Each month we read the entire Homesteader, not like scanning the other papers.
Christine C., Braintree, MA:
Love it!
Susan P., Derry, NH:
This was a funny add - it looked so real, I did question it's autheniticity at first! I expected to see Moe Howard of the Three Stooges somewhere nearby :) Good stuff!
Cassandra D., Lowell, MA:
This is a great publication, keep up the good work.
Terry G., Merrimack, NH:
The Bowl was a great ad! We laughed all night :) It reminded me of when we were kids and my grandfather used to tease us that instead of going to get our haircuts he would just put a bowl on our heads and cut our hair.
Maureen C., Milford, MA:
As a newcomer to Milford, your publication is a welcome addition to m reading on the neighborhood. What a great idea for those of us new to the area. THANKS!
Jeannette H., Allen, TX:
I love your newspaper. I have seen several ads for business that I never knew was here. Thanks
Dan J., Oaklyn, NJ:
I really enjoy your publication as it's informative, interesting and local. The latter being my favorite. I always go out of my way to support the local businesses and restaurants. I especially stay away from large chain restaurants such as applebee's, chili's, friday's and outback, etc..... however, my biggest place to avoid is wal-mart. The king of everything evil! The last time i shopped there was four years ago. it feels great!!! Wawa is a great company and should be featured in your magazine. I lived out of state for three years without wawa. It was excruciating. Now everytime i walk into a wawa i feel so lucky. I also have a few ideas for fake ads. The corn king. All corn food items all the time. Corn on the cob, flakes, pops, niblets, creamed, popcorn, etc. thanks.

Mark H., Belmont, MA:
I was reading the Wrapper Factory ad to my 9 year old who agreed that nobody in their right mind would spend that kind of money, and do that amount of work to get their gifts wrapped, supply your own paper - they've got to be kidding. But we assumed it was real until we noticed the contest in the back. The bad news is that now my daughter might raise her gift wrapping prices from free to who knows what.
Actually do look through this paper when I receive it, but it does seem to cover a pretty wide geography. But it is true that new homeowners need to find new stores and services in their new area and are looking for ideas.
Gloria S., Asheville, NC:
